Local Government Justice Reinvestment Commission

Chapter 515 of the Acts of 2016 - PDF - 2.42 MB established the Local Government Justice Reinvestment Commission to represent Maryland's counties and advise the Justice Reinvestment Oversight Board on local justice reinvestment issues.

The Commission's responsibilities include:

  • Advising the Justice Reinvestment Oversight Board on issues affecting local governments.
  • Recommending grants to support local justice reinvestment initiatives.
