The Youth Justice Division seeks to promote and fund programs that focus on restorative justice principles for at-risk youth offenders in Maryland. This is accomplished by decreasing juvenile delinquency through community-based diversion programs, actively involving young people in the State Advisory Group, reducing racial and ethnic disparities in the youth justice system, and supporting the work of child advocacy centers.
