Sex Offender and Compliance Enforcement in Maryland (SOCM) (INVITE ONLY)
Description
The purpose of the Sex Offender and Compliance Enforcement program funds is to ensure compliance with Maryland law by persons who are required to register or re-register with the Maryland Sex Offender Registry. These funds will assist law enforcement agencies in their duties of sex offender registration, compliance verification, and enforcement.
History
On July 2011, the State of Maryland became compliant with the Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act, passed by Congress in 2006.
