Child Advocacy Centers

Child Advocacy Centers (CACs), established under Maryland Criminal Procedure § 11-928, coordinate the response to reports and investigations of child abuse and sexual crimes against children. CACs provide services that meet the accreditation standards established by the Maryland statewide organization for Child Advocacy Centers.

The Maryland Children's Alliance (MCA) represents all 24 Child Advocacy Centers in Maryland and provides leadership, training, advocacy, and technical assistance to support their work.

Child Advocacy Center Services Grant Program

The Governor's Office of Crime Prevention and Policy supports Child Advocacy Centers through the Child Advocacy Center Services (CACS) Grant Program.
